Embracing the Journey of Healing

Updated: Feb 22

Journey of healing

Healing is not a straight path. It is a journey filled with twists, turns, and unexpected detours. Some days, you will feel as if you are making great strides, and on others, it may feel like you are back where you started. But this is not failure—this is healing. Healing is not linear.

There will be good days and bad days, moments of clarity, and moments of deep emotional pain. Healing is like tending to a wound—it must be opened, cleaned, and exposed in order to heal properly. And just like any wound, the process can be painful before it gets better.

As you begin to acknowledge the trauma you have carried for so long, something inside you will start to shift. The pain that once felt like a constant companion will slowly begin to ease. There will be moments of crippling fear, hesitation, and doubt, but these are signs that your body is trying to communicate with you. Listen to it. Recognize the whispers of your past that are stored deep within you.

This journey has taught me the power of vulnerability and the importance of facing my shadows. For so long, I believed my pain defined me. But I have come to understand that we are not defined by our traumas—we are defined by the courage it takes to confront them.

If you are carrying pain—whether it be physical or emotional—I want you to know that you are not alone. Your body is speaking. Are you listening?

Healing does not happen in isolation. It happens in community, in spaces where we feel safe to share our stories and be truly heard. You deserve that space. You deserve to heal.

Share. Be Heard. Heal.

With strength and compassion,

Dr. Su
